The education modules are devised to enhance the exploration of the following subject matters: 1. Module: the humanitarian perspective; 2. Module: limits in armed conflicts; 3. Module: the law in action; 4. Module: ensuring justice; 5. Module: responding to the consequences of war.

This kit contains the education modules for young people accompanied by two videos: student video and teacher video (NTSC), as well as a separate methodology guide, an implementation guide and a glossary. Exploring Humanitarian Law (EHL) is an international education programme for young people between 13 and 18 years of age. The objective of the programme is to introduce adolescents to the basic rules and principles of international humanitarian law, i.e. the body of rules which aims to protect life and human dignity during armed conflict and to reduce and prevent the suffering and destruction that result from war. EHL offers thirty academic hours of educational activities. Building on the experiences of a wide variety of countries, the programme is transnational in scope, cutting across political, social, religious and cultural contexts, and can easily be adapted to diverse educational settings.
