Summary
This textbook explores human rights from a variety of points of view. First, civic education is examined as a method of knowing and enjoying ones rights. Next, the Constitution is studied as the source of rights and democracy as a vehicle for practicing rights. The book next looks at the changed role of the State and government from instruments of oppression to forums for exercising and practicing rights. Finally, rights are examined in the context of morality and economics.
