Summary
Report documenting the proceedings and results of a consultation cum workshop held on 28-30 November 1994 in Bangsaen, Chonburi, Thailand, in which thirty-four representatives of regional and national NGOs from fourteen countries from the Asia-Pacific region participated. The aim of the workshop was to discuss the state of human rights education in the region. The report first gives an overview of the highlights of the event before detailing important points from the discussions of the various working groups. The report finishes with summaries of current socio-economic and political realities and implications for human rights education, on the one hand, and human rights education in Asia and the Pacific, on the other. The consultation-workshop schedule and the list of participants are also listed.
